What we collect
- Your ZIP code and county, when you enter them, kept in a cookie so the site can show programs for your area.
- Your plan: email, and if you give them, phone, street, and city; the measurements and answers you enter; and the photos you upload. Location data is removed from every photo when it uploads.
- Orders: what you bought, and the shipping address and email you give at checkout. Card details go to Stripe; we never receive them.
- How the site is used: which pages are visited and steps reached, recorded by us, not by an ad network. These records never include your street, email, photos, or notes.
- Letters you fill in on a document page, like your insurer and policy number, stay in your browser. We don’t store them.
What we use it for
To write and review your plan, sell and ship parts, prepare your paperwork, send email about your plan and orders, and, only if you ask, send seasonal reminders. We use the site records to see what works and to fix what doesn’t.
Who sees it
- Our reviewers and staff, to do the work above.
- Stripe, to take payment, and our email provider, to deliver email.
- The carrier, with your shipping address.
- An installer, only if you ask for one, and only what you choose on the request: your ZIP code and city, measurements, and the photos you pick. Your street and phone go to them only after they accept the job.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use third-party advertising trackers.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart, your assessment in progress, your plans on this device, your sign-in, your ZIP code and county, and a random visitor id. They also protect forms against forgery. None are used for advertising.
How long we keep it
Plan links stop working after 730 days; you can get a new one by email. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and plans and photos until you ask us to delete them. Inspection reports you send are kept with the plan and deleted with it.
Your choices
Ask us to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, or to stop reminder emails, at [email protected]. Some states give residents these rights by law; we honor the request wherever you live.
