How plans work

You send an inspection finding or photos and measurements. Written fit rules pick the parts and count them. A reviewer checks the match. Anything still missing comes back to you as one short question.

Example plan: the whole house

How this homeowner finishes

  • Send the gable size. The plan shows where to measure.
  • Buy the kit. Vents, gutter guards, garage door seals, and gap sealant in one shipment, each part labeled with its opening.
  • Get the first five feet quoted. Gravel for 300 sq ft of bark mulch, and metal for the first 5 ft of fence, from a local supplier or contractor.
  • Install it, or ask for a quote. Do it yourself, or request an install quote where a licensed installer covers the ZIP code.
  • Keep the record. Models, receipts, dates, and before and after photos, by opening. See the example record

What each label means

Waiting on you. We need a measurement, an answer, or a photo. The plan says exactly which, with a drawing of where to measure. The other projects keep moving.

In review. The rules matched parts. A reviewer is checking them against your photos, usually within one business day.

Ready to buy. Parts and quantities are approved. Each line shows the opening it’s for and the measurement it came from.

No part yet or On hold. Nothing we sell fits, or something needs a closer look. The note says why, and you can ask about an installer.

Local work. Work done on site rather than parts we ship, like gravel for the first five feet. Measured from your answers and quoted separately.

Your kit

Each project shows its parts, quantities, what’s in each box, and its subtotal. Buy one project as soon as it’s ready, or everything that’s ready at once. Openings still being checked stay in the plan and join the kit when they’re matched. The kit shows how many boxes, whether they ship together, and when they leave.

If a part doesn’t fit

If we approved it from your measurements and photos, we send the part that does, at no charge, and we fix the rule or the call that let it through. Returns and wrong fits

The first five feet

Embers that land on bark mulch, dry plants, or a wood fence beside the wall start fires that reach the house. California’s Safer from Wildfires list and IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home both name a 5 ft noncombustible zone. Your plan measures the work from your answers: square feet of gravel to replace the mulch, and each place a fence meets the house. A local landscape supplier or fence contractor quotes it, and the quote sits beside your kit.
